Abstract

Diluyente de semen de conejo y método de inseminación artificial basado en el mismo. Se describen diluyentes de semen de conejo y su método de utilización que permiten inseminaciones artificiales con resultados equiparables en fertilidad y prolificidad a los métodos descritos en el estado de la técnica pero con densidades más bajas de espermatozoides, entre 6-12 millones por dosis, y que pueden aplicarse hasta 30 horas después de diluida la dosis de inseminación. Una de las variantes de la invención permite, además, no tener que inducir, tras la inseminación, la ovulación mediante inyección de un análogo sintético de GnRH. Ello permite que se pueda utilizar el semen de animales seleccionados para inseminar a mayor número de hembras, lo que incrementa la rentabilidad de las granjas de producción animal y elimina riesgos de transmisión de enfermedades por el uso repetido de las agujas de inyección.Rabbit semen diluent and artificial insemination method based on it.
