EL COBALTO Y/O EL MANGANESO SE RECUPERAN DE LA CENIZA OBTENIDA DESPUES DE LA INCINERACION DEL CATALIZADOR QUE CONTIENE UN RESIDUO DE LA OXIDACION EN FASE LIQUIDA DE UN ACIDO CARBOXILICO AROMATICO, COMO UN ACIDO TEREFTALICO. SE REALIZA LA RECUPERACION PONIENDO LA CENIZA EN CONTACTO CON UN ACIDO ORGANICO O CON UN ANHIDRIDO DE ACIDO ORGANICO, COMO EL ANHIDRIDO ACETICO, OPTATIVAMENTE EN PRESENCIA DE IONES DE BROMURO (HBR, POR EJEMPLO), DE MANERA QUE SE RECUPEREN LOS METALES, EL COBALTO Y/O EL MANGANESO, EN FORMA DE SALES SOLUBLES DE ACIDO MONOCARBOXILICO DE DICHOS METALES, LO QUE PERMITE RECICLAR LOS MISMOS PARA VOLVER PROCESO DE OXIDACION EN FASE LIQUIDA.
