Abstract
High efficiency heat exchanger.A heat exchanger for a condenser of a fluid medium which includes a series of vertical cooling fins which are extended in length upwards and downwards from an ordinary part of the cooling path of the medium in order significantly to increase the cooling efficiency and a water supply reservoir of the type in which drops of water fall onto the top of the cooling fins densely buy intermittently, so that the drops of water are retained in the space between the opposite surfaces of adjacent cooling fins for a short period of time, preventing them from running down around the surface of a cooling fin when the next drop of water falls, to provide sufficient time for evaporation.< IMAGE >Several parallely arranged vertical cooling fins (11), project upwardly and downwardly, to form upper and lower additional cooling zones (112,114) respectively. A drip-drop type water feeding box is disposed closely over the cooling fins, to supply water on fins. A fan delivers wind to blow-off heat and evaporated steam from space between fins.
