Abstract

Obstacle detector system based on laser technology.The present patent application consists in the manufacture of an obstacle detection system based on laser technology (laser pointer) with the associated electronics for correct and adequate operation of the system. This system can form part of any vehicle capable of moving by itself around an environment in which there are a number of obstacles.The obstacle detector is principally composed of two functional units, a transmitter and a receiver.The technical basis on which the design rests is the transmission of a laser beam and reception of the reflected energy from any possible obstacle. Using this method, the receiver is able to estimate the distance of the vehicle from the obstacle according to the energy received.
