Abstract
FIELD: fireproofing materials. SUBSTANCE: invention provides fireproofing composition containing 10-90% melem, 0.01-30% melam, 0.01-15% melamine, and 0.1-65% higher melamine and/or melem condensation products, which contains below 3% volatiles. Composition is prepared by heating starting melamine-containing product during more than 0.1 sec, for example by passing it through hot zone at 350 to 800 C and pressure 1 to 50 MPa. As a result, content of volatiles on heating composition from ambient temperature to 300 C falls below 3%. Measurement of volatiles concentration is performed using thermogravimetric analysis at heating velocity 200oC/min. EFFECT: increased application safety due to reduced volatiles' level. 3 cl, 19 ex
