Abstract

El material médico es biocompatible, presenta buenas propiedades mecánicas junto con, opcionalmente, una adherencia y estabilidad mejoradas por acción del metal biocompatible, y es adecuado para aplicaciones que requieran estar en contacto con tejidos o células vivas, o con fluidos corporales o biológicos, por ejemplo, prótesis, implantes, sensores, material quirúrgico, etc.Medical materials coated with a diamond-coated carbon coating. The medical material comprises a base material and a carbon coating with diamond structure (DLC), optionally doped with a biocompatible metal, obtained by deposit on the base material, by a hybrid vacuum deposition technique [PVD-CVD / Magnetron Sputtering ]. The medical material is biocompatible, has good mechanical properties along with, optionally, improved adhesion and stability by biocompatible metal, and is suitable for applications that require contact with living tissues or cells, or with body or biological fluids, by example, prostheses, implants, sensors, surgical material, etc.
