Abstract

Materiales médicos recubiertos con un recubrimiento de carbono con estructura de diamante. El material médico comprende un material base y un recubrimiento de carbono con estructura de diamante (DLC), opcionalmente dopado con un metal biocompatible, obtenido por depósito sobre el material base, mediante una técnica híbrida de deposición en vacío [PVD-CVD/Magnetron Sputtering]. El material médico es biocompatible, presenta buenas propiedades mecánicas junto con, opcionalmente, una adherencia y estabilidad mejoradas por acción del metal biocompatible, y es adecuado para aplicaciones que requieran estar en contacto con tejidos o células vivas, o con fluidos corporales o biológicos, por ejemplo, prótesis, implantes, sensores, material quirúrgico, etc.
