Abstract

Multimedia system for remotely controlling devices using short messages that comprises of a platform that can understand short messages and act according to the received commands, with the additional possibility of also generating short messages for data transmission. The platform includes a fixed device for communications through which information is exchanged using short messages in a remote manner using a mobile device for communications a communications card sensors and actuators, both digital and analogue for obtaining information and, if necessary, modifying the status of the parameters to be measured a programmable microcontroller that controls the system inputs/outputs using the corresponding interface a power supply, at least, for the microcontroller and the communications card and a communications interface for exchanging information remotely through the Internet.
