Procedimiento para el tratamiento sanitario del volumen libre interno (8) de un colchón de descanso (1), especialmente de un colchón de muelles, comprendiendo dicho colchón (1) unas superficies superior (2) e inferior (4) y una banda lateral periférica (6), caracterizado porque consiste en engendrar un flujo de aire (16) desde el exterior hacia el espacio libre interno (8) del colchón, habiéndose previamente difundido en las proximidades del colchón (1) unos agentes activos (18) pesticidas y/u odorantes.
