Abstract

La invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la personalización de chips GSM. Se almacenan al menos un carácter de identificación de abonado (IMSI) y un número de tarjeta (ICCID) en el área de memoria de los citados chips además de una clave secreta (Ki) y otros datos opcionales para el objetivo de la personalización. La invención se orienta a eliminar una complejidad de alto grado innecesaria relacionada con la gestión de todos los datos de la tarjeta en un centro de autenticación (AC) y preservar los datos secretos del chip de una forma más segura. De acuerdo con la invención, los datos finales se escriben en la tarjeta sólo cuando el abonado se introduce en una red de abonados. Una ventaja es que sólo se escribe la información inicial en la tarjeta permitiendo al cliente contactar con el centro de ordenadores del proveedor de información. Durante el primer contacto, se negocian los datos finales entre la tarjeta y el centro de ordenadores y se escriben en la tarjeta. Sólo se requiereque el centro de ordenadores gestione las tarjetas que han sido distribuidas realmente a los clientes.
