Abstract

Gene encoding adenosine triphosphatase of sodium of greasy neurospora is used to improve tolerance to salinity. It determines an adenosine triphosphatase which is located in the plasmatic membrane and pumps the sodium accumulated in the cytoplasm to the external medium, disintoxicating it.
