Abstract

El empleo de un motor térmico para mover el compresor de una bomba de calor ofrece una segunda fuente de energía que es la derivada del aprovechamiento del calor residual del motor, contenido en el circuito de refrigeración y en los gases de escape. El motor térmico accionará directamente un generador eléctrico, y sólo eventualmente al compresor de la bomba de calor cuando se estime necesario. Ninguno de los dispositivos existentes permite esta obtención conjunta de energía eléctrica y térmica. Este sistema dispone de un dispositivo de acumulación total de energía (térmica y eléctrica) dándose el caso de que sea más eficiente energéticamente el apagado del motor cuando el control lo considere oportuno. De esta forma se dispone una calefacción automatizada que no requiere suministro de energía eléctrica de la red para su funcionamiento, lo que representaría una solución completa al problema del abastecimiento energético de la vivienda.
