Abstract

Procedimiento de obtención de un compuesto químico para su utilización como mortero ignífugo. Se describe un proceso para la obtención de un compuesto químico susceptible de utilización a modo de mortero ignífugo, mediante mezcla para conseguir la reacción entre el azufre presente en el caucho vulcanizado y los constituyentes de la emulsión acuosa de un aglutinante. Dicha reacción provoca que las partículas del caucho queden envueltas en la red cristalina de los polímeros de aglutinante, de forma que una vez solidificado el mortero queda una mezcla de un único compuesto físico, sin posible diferenciación de sus componentes. Además, en la mezcla se incluye un reactivo químico para conseguir un compuesto ignífugo, el cual ante una fuente de fuego, se descompone químicamente, y forma una capa de gas incombustible, que aísla del oxígeno del aire, temporalmente, a toda la composición del mortero.
