EN DICHOS PROCESOS, EN INDUSTRIA DE PROCESADO METALURGICO, ES IMPORTANTE DETERMINAR LA TEMPERATURA Y CONTENIDOS DEL GAS O LLAMA SIN QUE SE PRODUZCA CONTACTO FISICO O ALTERACION DEL PROCESO. ESTO HA RESULTADO SER MUY PROBLEMATICO ESPECIALMENTE A ALTAS TEMPERATURAS. UNA SEÑAL DE RADIO POR ENCIMA DE UNA BANDA DE FRECUENCIA SE MIDE FUERA DE LA CAMARA DE PROCESO A TRAVES DE UNA VENTANA EN LA COBERTURA DE LA ESTRUCTURA SOPORTANTE METALICA COMO FUNCION DE FRECUENCIA Y SE REGISTRA EN UN ORDENADOR COMO ESPECTRO DE RADIO. EL SISTEMA SE CALIBRA UTILIZANDO UNA SEÑAL CONOCIDA TRANSMITIDA A TRAVES DE LA HABITACION DE PROCESO. LAS LINEAS DEL ESPECTRO SE IDENTIFICAN POR SU FRECUENCIA A PARTIR DE UNA BASE DE DATOS. LA TEMPERATURA SE DETERMINA A PARTIR DE DIFERENTES LINEAS DE LA MISMA ESPECIE MOLECULAR Y LAS DENSIDADES MOLECULARES SE DETERMINAN A PARTIR DE LAS INTENSIDADES DE LAS LINEAS. EL METODO ES APROPIADO PARA DETERMINAR LA EXCITACION VIBRACIONAL Y ROTACIONAL DE LAS ESPECIES MOLECULARES EN LAS LONGITUDES DE LA ONDA DE FRECUENCIA DE RADIO QUE OSCILAN EN LA GAMA DE FRECUENCIA 500 M Y 30 {MI}M.
