Abstract

Air gap self-regulating mechanism in electromagnetic activation systems.The self-regulating mechanism of the air gap E in electromagnetic activation systems internally offsets the wear of the friction disk D, self-regulating the internal separation between of the two parts C and B that form the pressure plate. When the system of activation A is activated, it attracts piece B, which, on moving towards A, provokes the cradleling of the bearings between it and part C that is dragged towards A, loosing its contact with the friction disk D, thus ending its action on the friction pair. When A ends its activity, springs F, I, and J make the pressure plate withdraw, unblocking C from B, finally stopping C against D and B, making it stop against a projection of the piece H that always ensures the same initial value of the air gap E, regardless of the wear of D.
