Abstract
A filter device of the bag type for the treatment of fluids comprising two sheets of a flexible filtering material, said sheets being joined together along some edge portions selected by a series of rows of filamentary straps, defining the rows adjacent straps a filter bag therebetween, a material for coating the tips extended generally parallel to said edge portions of said sheets of flexible material, said material being for coating the stitches secured thereto by the rows of the straps filamentary by means of which the holes made in the flexible material due to the joining of the sheets to each other as the filamentary strands are covered; and selected selected downstream edge portions of the filter material being fixed thereto thereby leaving a multiplicity of openings along the upstream edge portions of said sheets of flexible material, each opening being defined by adjacent rows of filamentary struts .
