Abstract

The device has the purpose of providing a barrier in an open window to prevent the risk of young children falling into the void through said window without hampering lighting and natural ventilation in the room. To this end, the device has two transparent panels (1) having the appropriate height for said barrier and fitted with transversal grooves (2) which enable telescopic displacement of one panel in relation to the other panel when conveniently placed opposite each other with the purpose of adjusting the assembly to the width of the window hole. Both panels are fixed with the aid of screws (3) entering the grooves (2) and assisted by wing nuts (4). In order to fix the device to the vertical surfaces of the window frame and/or sliding leaves of the latter, an angular profile (6) with a concavity oriented outward is placed on at least one of the vertical edges (5) of each panel (1). Said profile has the purpose of receiving the frame or sliding leaves.
