Abstract

The plug socket device has a housing (50) with a number of adjacent plug socket inserts (51-54), each having at least 2 terminal poles, cooperating with respective poles of a multi-pole lead (58) fitted into the housing. Each of the plug socket inserts can be rotated relative to the housing through a limited angle, about an axis parallel to the insertion direction of the plug, with the socket poles coupled to the corresponding lead poles via sliding contacts. Each plug socket insert can be secured relative to the housing in a given rotary position.
