Abstract

Sistema para la medida al paso de las concentraciones de contaminantes en gases de escape de todo tipo de vehículos automóviles. Consiste en un sistema en el que se determinan individualmente, en tierno real, a distancia, sin necesidad de tomar ninguna muestra de los gases y empleando la absorción espectral infrarroja como único principio físico de medida, las concentraciones individuales y por separado de una pluralidad de contaminantes gaseosos en los gases de escape como son, por ejemplo, CO, NO, N02, metano, etano, acetileno y formaldehído; además de las concentraciones y distribución de tamaño de las partículas sólidas en suspensión y del factor de estequiometría de la combustión. El sistema se compone de una unidad emisora (1) de un haz infrarrojo y una unidad receptora (2). Puede emplearse tanto en la Inspección Técnica de Vehículos (ITV) como en controles policiales en carretera o calles, así como en talleres y aplicaciones similares.
