Abstract

Sistema de medición de la cantidad de recubrimiento metálico sobre alambres de acero. El sistema consiste en un sensor basado en el empleo de un devanado (1) que rodea al hilo (2). Una corriente alterna se aplica al devanado, generándose un campo magnético alterno, que provoca pérdidas en el recubrimiento metálico. Dichas pérdidas se reflejan en el devanado como una resistencia variable en función del espesor del recubrimiento. Dicha resistencia del devanado es medida por un circuito eléctrico, y su valor convertido por medio de un circuito electrónico al valor del recubrimiento.
