Abstract

Ferrule for attaching the slats of a bed support frame.The ferrule includes the traditional box (1) into which the corresponding slat end (2) is plugged and which features the inclusion of an upper wing (5) that, along with the closed bottom part (4) of the box and a lower extension (9) of said bottom part, forms a straight dihedral (6), coupling the ferrule to the inside surface and the upper surface of the crossbar (7) of the bed support frame, so that the slats (2) are interlocked with said frame, between the aforementioned crossbars (7), as well as being attached on the top to the same by studs (8) that penetrate into the crossbar (7) through operative holes therein. Flexible butts (11) on the skirting (9) of the ferrule provide flexible support for the ferrule against the crossbar (7), increasing the cushioning effect of the slats (2).
