Abstract

Chimerical gene uses the gene or cDNA of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coa which is a mitochondrial synthatase and transgenic from animal to human, being used in the development of therapy for diabetes mellitus. It is guided by a promoter or fusion of promoters, which are preferably regulatable and activated by the diabetic process. Preferably, the chimerical gene is obtained by the fusion of the gene of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coa mitochondrial synthatase with the promoter of P-enol-pyruvate carboxykinase. ACTIVITY : Antidiabetic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Gene therapy.
