Abstract

A perforator is for a corrugated sheet of a thermoforming material (1). It consists of a plate (4) with heated spikes (5) which is moved perpendicular to a table (3) carrying the sheet material. The plate is moved up and down and horizontally at the same speed as the sheet material, making perforations in the base of its corrugations (2) when the sheet material is bottom upwards on the table. The spiked plate and the table are operated by separate drives, and the spikes can be made with enlarged or fine tips, depending on the size of perforations required.
