Abstract

Procedimiento de control y de gestión de la reserva de biomasa de instalaciones de tratamiento biológico mediante lodos activados de aguas residuales, municipales o industriales, caracterizado porque consiste en utilizar las variaciones de régimen hidráulico impuestas por las variaciones del caudal de agua a tratar para evaluar la cantidad total de lodos presente en la instalación, efectuándose esta evaluación, realizada por una medición de la cantidad de materias en suspensión en el estanque de aireación de la instalación durante los períodos de sub-régimen hidráulico a los cuales corresponden los máximos de concentración en biomasa en el indicado estanque, proporcionando el valor de la indicada concentración, por multiplicación por el volumen del estanque, una estimación de la masa total de biomasa o de reserva de biomasa, contenida en la instalación de tratamiento.
