Abstract
The installation comprises a series of identical modules which are joined together, each module being formed by a series of struts 1, horizontal stiffening crosspieces 2, and by other, inclined profiles 3 which form an inner V-shaped module. At the bottom there is a trough or feeder 6 to which the feed gains access and at the top a grating placed on rods 4 defining separators so that an animal can pass its head between every two of them and eat from the feeder 6, which grating can be located at a higher or lower height and can be used for small animals such as pigs or for large animals such as cows. The feed is supplied by a worm 11 which rotates in a conduit 9, under which there is a channel formed by two plates 12 linked to actuating cylinders 13 and 14 which make it possible to locate them at higher or lower height and to close or open the passage for the feed into any module, thereby achieving a regulated supply of said feed. Provision has also been made for a conduit 15 located at a lower level, for liquid feed.
