Mejoras introducidas en la Patente de invención Nº P-9400938/4, por: dispositivo de cortocircuito exterior para módulos de protección de equipos telefónicos y similares. El dispositivo, aplicable en descargadores tripolares de gas (2) como medios de protección que establecen un cortocircuito ante un calentamiento, presenta la particularidad de incluir un elemento de estado sólido (8) y un elemento conductor fundente (9), adosados entre sí e intercalados entre una pieza elástica y conductora (5) en contacto con el electrodo de tierra (4) del descargador (2) y una prolongación (7) de la lámina conductora (3) conectada al respectivo electrodo activo del descargador (2), de manera que a través de dicho elemento de estado sólido se conseguirá una reducción de la onda residual hasta un valor que será soportado holgadamente por el equipo a proteger, cuando se produce una elevación brusca e instantánea de la tensión.
