Abstract
In a process to cleanse carbon dioxide discharged especially from an industrial fermentation process, the novelty is that: (a) the carbon dioxide is passed through a series of adsorption beds (1, 2, 3, 4) each containing a different agent for a specific function (b) each adsorption bed may be regenerated using the same gas passed through the same regeneration system (c) the process consists of two systems incorporated within a single assembly consisting of (i) two vessels for the adsorption-cleaning beds, (ii) a valve system facilitating continual operation and (iii) a regeneration system.
