Abstract

Procedimiento de detección en una sola prueba de anticuerpos antivirus de la hepatitis C, de la inmunodeficiencia humano y antígeno de superficie del virus de la hepatitis B, cuyo desarrollo se lleva a cabo por medio de un ensayo "ELISA'', en el que cada prueba se realiza en un pocillo de una placa microtiter, donde están adheridos de manera combinada: a) un péptido sintético de la región estructural de VHC, cuya secuencia es NH{sub,2 -Cys-Lys-Pro-Gln-Arg-Lys-Thr-Lys-Arg-Asn-Thr-Asn-Arg-Arg-Pro-Gln-Tyr-COOH, b) proteínas recombinantes env (gp 160) y gag (p 24) del VIH-1 y env (gp 105) del VIH-2, y c) un anticuerpo monoclonal de ratón anti-Ags VHB; de manera que la reactividad del suero indica positividad para uno, dos o los tres agentes virales testados, permitiendo considerar transfundibles o implantables todas aquellas unidades de sangre u órganos y tejidos humanos, en los que la prueba resulte negativa, sin necesidad de practicar una prueba individual para cada uno de los virus.
