Abstract

It comprises gearing 1 formed by two toothed wheels 2, one of these being associated with actuation means 3 and removing the skin when said skin is clamped between the two toothed wheels 2. It is characterised in that the toothed wheels 2 are conical (crown wheels) with variable-modulus helical toothing. Between the shafts 4 of the aforesaid toothed wheels 2 are interposed elastic means 5 which allow a slight displacement of one of the wheels with respect to the other. It requires no supply of water for cooling the bearings, since the dimensions of the bearings are sufficiently large to not require cooling and it requires less maintenance. It involves costs for manufacturing the device which are substantially lower than for known devices as it has a single gearing.
