Abstract

The backpack includes the container or backpack 1 proper and a frame 2 associated with it so that it can be used as an actual backpack and be carried on the user's back and as a rolling carrying carriage, for which purpose the frame has an upper crosspiece 3 which is held in the hand and a lower base 4 for supporting the backpack, and wheels 5 for the rolling displacement of the entire assembly. The vertical part of the frame 2 is housed in a bag 6 formed in the back part (trellis, espalier) of the backpack 1, which bag includes transverse buckling means 11 which correspond with its upper opening in order to prevent removal of the frame, whilst, corresponding with the lower opening, said bag 6 includes a flap 12 capable of covering the wheels 5 of the frame 2 when the latter is combined with the backpack but inoperative, the flap being capable of folding down upwards and being superposed subsequently in the operating position of the frame so that the backpack fulfils the function of the carrying trolley. The flap 12 has buckling means 13 which complement others 14 and 14' for keeping it secured in these positions.
