Abstract
The air conditioner has a compressor (11) with an outlet (D) and an inlet (S). An internal heat exchanger (12) exchanges heat between air and refrigerant, with an external heat exchanger (13) exchanging heat between air and refrigerant. A flow inversion valve (14) and an expansion device (15) are interconnected with the compressor and heat exchangers. A heat exchanger (31) is coupled with the refrigerant fluid at a point between the expansion device and the compressor inlet. The flow is blocked during supplementary heating. The supplementary heating is applied to the system by heating water in a water storage tank using electrical or fossil fuel heating.
