Abstract

The press has a holding frame (2) in upper (3) and lower (4) parts, and a moving cross-head under the upper part, operated by a hydraulic cylinder unit, which can also carry the moving part (6) of the stamp. The piston (11) forming a part of the cylinder-piston unit (10-12) is fixed to the upper part of the holding frame. The cylinder, also part of the cylinder-piston unit, is formed from a cylindrical hollow space (12) opened at the top, bored out from the body of the moving press cross-head. The piston, sealed in the space, moves axially in it. There may be flow channels in the fixed piston.
