Abstract

A process is disclosed for incinerating materials in a fluidised bed (5) and a device for carrying out the said process. The proposed process is characterised by the fact that a gasification bell (3) is mounted within the area of the fluidised bed (5), the materials being completely or partially gasified in the said bell; and by the fact that the gas is led from the gasification bell (3) into the fluidised bed where it is burnt. The process is inexpensive to operate, has good combustion efficiency and is suitable for a very wide range of applications in the incineration of all kinds of materials.
