Abstract

Method for magnetic marking and coding of objects, based on the use of the magnetic bistability of microwires and on the dependency of the coercive fields of these bistable microwires with their composition, geometry and heat treatments. The invention consists in the creation of a system for coding objects, consisting of a coding strip 3 based on microwires, which carries the information on the object to be coded, a primary circuit 1 and 2 for magnetising the coding elements, and a decoder 6 which converts the information into electrical signals. The essential steps for implementing the invention are: - creation of the coding strip 3 with the bistable amorphous microwires, which, thanks to their magnetic properties, contain the information on the object. - design and creation of the primary circuit 1 and 2 which makes it possible to obtain the magnetic response of the coding strip 3. The invention lies within the field of electronics, and is applicable in a wide range of applications for marking and labelling objects, differentiated as being packaging or packages, as well as in personnel identification tags of reduced size which are resistant to chemical effects and to the action of intense magnetic fields.
