Abstract

Four quadrant regulator for DC/DC or AC/DC power converter. The present invention relates to a regulating stage, suitable for any type of DC/DC converter with galvanic isolation, that provides the system with four quadrant regulation. It consists of a transformer Tp appropriate to the DC/DC converter with galvanic isolation with a transforming ratio of No. The auxiliary transformer TA with a transforming ratio of NA ensures four quadrant regulation handling only a small percentage of the total power. is, iA and io are bidirectional currents and run through bidirectional switches in the blocks B1, B2 and B3. The regulating stage converter enables a variable and controllable voltage Vc to be obtained from a fixed voltage Vs.
