Abstract

Equipment for rendering salt water drinkable through pneumatic energy. The invention essentially comprises equipment for the generation of drinking water which is driven by alternative power sources and comprises various solar panels or parabolic cylindrical collectors (A) which heat seawater (B) to a suitable temperature, storing it in a thermally insulated tank (C) which has sufficient capacity to supply the needs of the drinking water generating machine (D). This machine comprises a cylinder closed at both ends within which a double action piston moves alternately in the case of limited batch production or an endless screw whose external section rubs elastically against the interior of the cylinder in the case of continuous production, the said piston and the said endless screw being driven by a conventional mechanism driven by the force and movement provided by a windmill (E). <IMAGE>
