LA FRECUENCIA DE LA SEÑAL RADIOFONICA DE "ISOFRECUENCIA" (F1) SE CONVIERTE EFECTUANDO UN BATIDO DE FRECUENCIAS JUNTO CON UNA FRECUENCIA FIJA GENERADA POR UN OSCILADOR LOCAL (12) CONTROLADO POR UN OSCILADOR DE REFERENCIA (14) DE ACUERDO CON UN FACTOR CONSTANTE. USANDO UN FILTRADO DE PASO DE BANDA, UNA SEÑAL DE FRECUENCIA PORTADORA INTERMEDIA (FP), IGUAL A LA DIFERENCIA ENTRE LA FRECUENCIA DE LA SEÑAL RADIOFONICA Y LA FRECUENCIA FIJA, SE EXTRAE Y TRANSMITE SOBRE EL SISTEMA DE RELES RADIOELECTRICOS JUNTO CON LA FRECUENCIA DE REFERENCIA. EN EL EXTREMO DE RECEPCION, LA SEÑAL RECIBIDA DESDE EL SISTEMA DE RELES DE RADIOFRECUENCIA SE FILTRA EN DOS FILTROS DE PASO DE BANDA (20, 22) PARA AISLAR LA SEÑAL INTERMEDIA Y LA FRECUENCIA DE REFERENCIA. LA FRECUENCIA FIJA SE RECONSTRUYE A PARTIR DE LA FRECUENCIA DE REFERENCIA MULTIPLICANDO POR EL FACTOR ANTES MENCIONADO, Y LA SEÑAL INTERMEDIA SE RECONVIERTE EFECTUANDO UN BATIDO DE FRECUENCIAS JUNTO CON LA FRECUENCIA FIJA; FILTRANDO DE MANERA QUE SE OBTENGA LASEÑAL RADIOFONICA ORIGINAL. EL METODO PUEDE EXTENDERSE A LAS TRANSMISIONES DE UNA PLURALIDAD DE SEÑALES RADIOFONICAS CON UNA FRECUENCIA DE REFERENCIA SIMPLE SOBRE UN MISMO SISTEMA DE RELES RADIOELECTRICOS.
