Abstract
Two-storey railcar of maximum capacity formed by a car (pod, nacelle) frame which, between axles, allows sufficient height for the installation of the lower storey, with corresponding seats, and provision being made in the monobloc bodywork, immediately behind one of the rolling axles, for doors of low height over the track to facilitate access, said doors opening out in a zone immediately behind the control cab located in the zone between the axle and the end of the frame equipped with a drive unit and corresponding equipment, a stairway providing access to the upper storey being fitted in this zone and, underneath it, a WC cubicle. The total surface of the second storey has seats arranged so that maximum advantage is taken of the space, achieving maximum capacity. On the faces (walls) which separate the control cab from the rest of the vehicle, provision is made for large-volume luggage stowage units (cupboards) and, over the seats, longitudinally arranged luggage racks for hand luggage.
