Abstract

System which makes it possible to regenerate automatically by means of diamond-coating the working grinder of grinding machines, according to criteria established during a machine development stage. It consists of a multiple-sensor assembly M.M., composed of a hydropneumatic sensor S.H.N. for in-process measurement of the wear of the grinding wheel, and one or more of the following sensors: a microphone installed in the support strip S.S. for measuring the machining sound, a device for measuring the current consumed by the motor for driving the grinder S.I., and a device for measuring vibrations S.V. installed in the support head of the grinder. The signals from the sensors are pre-processed in an analog manner in a conditioning module M.A. with a view to their acquisition and digital processing in the acquisition and processing module M.P., and the information they provide is subsequently incorporated into a sensor-based fusion system M.F.
