Abstract

The connector includes a casing (10) which encloses a pair of signal contacts (90) and a connector module (30) which is joined to the casing and has contacts (30) to connect the signal wires (2) to the signal contacts. A push-in element (40) similarly connects a second pair of signal wires (4) to the signal contacts. An earth contact (80) lies next to the signal contacts and the protector (50) encloses some electrical contacts. The casing has guide columns and wall columns to receive the protector with spaces for at least part of an uncovered signal contact (92) which meet contacts in the protector. Across the contacts is a protective component and there is also an earth contact in the protector, discharging to an earth bus (6).
