Abstract

The system collects solar energy, and has a reflector which is in the form of an elongated channel, which concentrates the solar radiation on a tubular absorber (12). The latter has a pipe (15) through which a heat-carrying medium can flow, and which is surrounded by a jacket (17) which is transparent to the radiation. An insulating shield (19) is arranged on the side of the absorber which faces away from the reflector, and covers part of its circumference. The shield may be arranged between the absorber pipe and the tubular jacket, or may be fixed to the outside of the latter.
