Abstract
Process for neutralization and aeration in the treatment of wastewater. The process is characterized in that the operations of neutralization and aeration are carried out in the same stage using an acidifying gas in the neutralization, preferably carbon dioxide, with the aeration comprising the addition of oxygen or oxygen-enriched air. The equipment is characterized in that it comprises a reactor 1, at least one analyser 2, at least one pH transmitter 3 connected to the said analyser, at least one oxygen analyser 4 and at least one oxygen transmitter 5 connected to the said analyser. The costs of the installation are reduced and the formation of polluting soluble salts is avoided. <IMAGE>
