ESPECTRO-PLUVIOMETRO OPTICO. EL ESPECTRO-PLUVIOMETRO OPTICO ES UN DISPOSITIVO CAPAZ DE MEDIR EL ESPECTRO DE TAMAÑOS DE LAS GOTAS DE LLUVIA. EL TAMAÑO DE CADA GOTA ES DETERMINADO CON DOS LONGITUDES PRINCIPALES QUE MIDEN SU EXCENTRICIDAD. ADEMAS CALCULA EL VALOR DE LA VELOCIDAD TERMINAL DE UNA MANERA INDEPENDIENTE AL CALCULO DEL TAMAÑO, Y PERMITE TENER UNA VISUALIZACION DE LA FORMA QUE TIENE LA GOTA. ESTAS MEDIDAS SE CONSIGUEN MEDIANTE UN SISTEMA OPTICO EL CUAL ESTA COMPUESTO POR UNA SERIE DE LENTES QUE GENERAN DOS HACES PLANOS DE LUZ. ESTOS PLANOS SON MUCHO MAS ESTRECHOS QUE LA GOTA MAS PEQUEÑA Y ESTAN SITUADOS UNO ENCIMA DEL OTRO SEPARADOS UNA DISTANCIA DETERMINADA Y CONOCIDA. LUEGO MEDIANTE UN POSPROCESADO SE PUEDEN MEDIR LOS PARAMETROS MENCIONADOS INCLUSO CON SEÑALES CORRESPONDIENTES A GOTAS SIMULTANEAS.
