Abstract

Fish 4 are placed in compartments 2 of a plastics tray 1 which is placed in an outer, preferably aluminium, tray 5 and optionally frozen. The compartments 2 are separable along lines of weakness 8. The mouths of the compartments 2 may be covered by a plastics sheet which may be part of a bag enveloping the tray 1. The fish may be portions of squid or be sardines or anchovies, and packaging may occur on a factory ship.
