Abstract

Designed for application as a means for recovery (rehabilitation) from certain illnesses and for restoring tone to tissues and preventing premature flacidity in persons as part of beauty treatment, it comprises a movable part consisting of a sealed diffuser box 3 which can be moved and submerged and a fixed or stationary part, these being joined by a conventional optical-fibre cable 4 which, at one or both ends, incorporates lenses 8 which are suitable for transferring light and, if appropriate, receiving it from a light source 15 via an optical system controlled by timer means which can be governed from a microprocessor, one of the parts being provided with focusing means which are suitable for obtaining appropriate diffusion of the coloured output light.
