Abstract

System of remote marking and identification of commercials and advertising transmissions. This is a system that, simply by tuning a radio or television transmitter and passing the sound received through a suitable apparatus, enables us to identify, classify and annotate various data on each advertising message transmitted. This is achieved thanks to the fact that each message has its own non-repeatable code either in analogue or digital form so that each time it is played back on the aerial this series of data is also transmitted, which is picked up by the appropriate receiver and subsequently processed. Using modulation and attenuation formulae, the data is perfectly detected by the receivers but is practically imperceptible to anyone listening to the programme. Part of this data can be made to match bar codes, obtaining a form of marking the advertising transmissions themselves as though they were tangible objects.
