LA INVENCION SUMINISTRA UN METODO PARA FABRICAR UNA ALEACION DE MATRIZ DE METAL DE CARBURO DE TITANIO, QUEMANDO UNA MEZCLA DE REACCION EN PARTICULAS QUE COMPRENDA CARBONO, TITANIO Y UN MATERIAL DE MATRIZ, BAJO CONDICIONES TALES QUE EL TITANIO Y EL CARBONO REACCIONEN EXOTERMICAMENTE PARA FORMAR UNA DISPERSION DE PARTICULAS FINAS QUE COMPRENDAN CARBURO DE TITANIO (PREFERIBLEMENTE MENORES DE 10 MICRONES) EN UNA MATRIZ PREDOMINANTEMENTE DE METAL. EL TITANIO Y LA MATRIZ SE AÑADEN PREFERIBLEMENTE COMO UNA REACCION DE TITANIO TAL COMO EL FERROTITANIO, POR EJEMPLO FERROTITANIO EUTECTICO.
