LA CABEZA DE PLACA ESTA CONSTITUIDA POR LA ESPUMA METALICA ELLA MISMA DEL SOPORTE DE PLACA Y SU DENSIDAD, POR UNIDAD DE SUPERFICIE DE LA ESPUMA METALICA, ES AL MENOS 2,5 VECES LA DE LA ESPUMA METALICA DEL RESTO DE LA CABEZA DE ELECTRODO, PROCEDIENDO LA DENSIDAD SUPERIOR DE LA CABEZA DE LA PLACA DE UNA OPERACION DE COMPRESION DE LA ESPUMA DEL SOPORTE, EMERGIENDO LA COLA (3) DE LA CABEZA DE PLACA DEL MEDIO DEL ESPESOR (E2) DE LA PLACA Y PROCEDIENDO DE UNA COMPRESION EN EL SENTIDO DE SU ALTURA Y UNA SEGUNDA COMPRESION EN EL SENTIDO DE SU ESPESOR. TAL PLACA DE ELECTRODO SE FABRICA A PARTIR DE UNA PLACA DE ESPUMA METALICA CUYO BORDE SUPERIOR ESTA COMPRIMIDO DE MANERA A FORMAR LA CABEZA DE LA PLACA.
