Abstract

The invention relates to a device for printing stamps, tickets or similar articles which are cut from a strip (2) drawn from a roll (1). The device comprises an adjustable printing unit and a common drive for jolt-free feeding of the strip and for actuating a cutting apparatus. Provided for feeding is an eccentrically mounted, reciprocating latch (17) which is in engagement with a cylinder (5), which carries the strip along, for its stepwise rotation. Serving for actuating the cutting apparatus is a cam-controlled lever (56) which is connected to a movable knife (22) of the cutting apparatus. The latch is attached eccentrically on a rotatably driven disc (18) which also carries a cam (58) for controlling the lever. The printing unit has adjustable daisywheels (24) which are rotatable via friction clutches by a common shaft (31), and an independently controllable latch (33) is provided for each daisywheel for retaining the daisywheel in a predetermined position. <IMAGE>
