Abstract
Process for the manufacture of a product based on at least a thermoplastic resin, a machine for performing this process and a semi-finished product obtained by it. The process consists in preparing the thermoplastic product, mixing it with a thermoplastic resin and injecting or extruding the mixture and is characterized in that the non-thermoplastic product is a woody agricultural by-product and the preparation stage comprises the comminution and drying of the said by product to a particle size of between 0.1 mm and 6 mm, in a proportion of between 35% and 95% with respect to the total product. The machine comprises a compression chamber for compressing the mixture in a mould or for extrusion through a spinneret and is characterized in that the length/diameter ratio of the said chamber lies between 16 and 21 and the compression ratio therein lies between 1:1 and 1:2. The product obtained consists of a thermoplastic resin and a woody agricultural by-product with the particle size and ratio mentioned. It is used in the manufacture of any type of part replacing materials such as wood and plastic.
